ABOUT

“Sometimes when the outlier finds her voice, she realizes she’s not such an outlier after all.” - Melanie Lentz

Melanie Lentz became a Secret Service Special Agent at twenty-two, one of the youngest female agents ever hired. She had no military or law enforcement experience going into training and was an obvious outlier (with a lot to prove to herself and others). As an agent, she spent nearly a decade traveling and protecting the nation’s leaders and visiting heads of state.

Her final assignment was with Former First Lady Nancy Reagan in Los Angeles, CA. When Mrs. Reagan passed away in 2016, Melanie was in the middle of dealing with a divorce and a depression diagnosis. She made the difficult choice to leave the job she loved to start fresh in her thirties.

Little did she know that the Secret Service had given her the tools to protect herself, inside and out.

Melanie’s written two books about her journey of self-protection. Today, she speaks and writes about her experiences and adventures, reminding others that they, too, are worth protecting. She owns a small personal training business and enjoys reading and the outdoors in her spare time.
